3015 Integrated Laser Cutting Machine for Switchboard and Tube Processing Project
I. Project Background (Customer Pain Points)
A general‑purpose machinery, hardware products, and steel‑structure fabrication company faces dual‑category cutting needs—sheet metal and tubular materials. The conventional approach requires purchasing separate flat‑plate and pipe‑cutting machines, resulting in large floor space requirements, high capital investment, and low equipment utilization. Moreover, traditional cutting processes are slow, produce significant slag on the cut edges, cause substantial thermal distortion, and deliver poor repeatability; thick plates are prone to blowholes during piercing, small‑radius corners tend to scorch during cutting, and post‑processing grinding demands considerable effort. Additionally, standard single‑machine setups lack an exchangeable worktable, leading to lengthy loading/unloading times, a sluggish production line rhythm, and an inability to meet the demands of high‑volume, efficient, high‑precision mass production. The customer turned to Horizon Laser Technology for an integrated cutting solution.
II. On-site Equipment Configuration
At the customer’s site, we’ve installed Horizon Laser Technology’s 3015 integrated laser cutting machine with a dual‑table design, offering one‑stop support for both sheet‑metal and tubular‑material cutting. It is equipped with an Chuangxin fiber laser, a RayTools auto‑focus cutting head, and the Bochu intelligent cutting system. The machine features Taiwan‑made YYC rack-and-pinion drives, French Motorex gear reducers, and Japanese Panasonic servo‑driven dual‑drive technology, ensuring high‑speed, stable operation. It comes with front and rear active chuck modules for tube cutting, a Z‑axis capacitive automatic tracking system, and a dual‑exchange worktable, enabling seamless automated loading and unloading. Standard I/O interfaces are provided for integration with smart production lines, supporting connected, online manufacturing.

III. Core Process Performance
Integrated plate-and-tube processing: One machine replaces two conventional models, capable of cutting carbon steel, stainless steel, galvanized sheet, alloy steel, titanium alloy, and other metals. It supports precise cutting of round tubes, square tubes, and specially shaped tubes, and is well-suited for mixed‑batch production across multiple product categories.

Fine cut quality and high yield: Horizon lasers deliver exceptional beam quality, minimizing the heat-affected zone; they produce burr-free cuts on thin sheets and ensure smooth, stable cuts on medium‑ and thick‑gauge materials. The system features built-in functions such as progressive piercing, variable‑speed cornering, and adaptive air‑pressure control, effectively preventing blowholes, slag adhesion, and deformation, thereby significantly reducing downstream grinding operations.

High‑efficiency mass production on the exchange platform: Two workstations operate in alternating cycles, enabling simultaneous cutting and material loading/unloading, eliminating idle waiting time, significantly accelerating the production cycle, and ensuring reliable delivery for large‑volume orders.
Consistent performance with low energy consumption: Fiber lasers boast high electro-optical conversion efficiency and reduced power draw, require no consumables, and eliminate the need for frequent optical‑path maintenance. With a pump‑source lifetime of up to 100,000 hours, they are ideally suited for 24/7 continuous production in industrial settings.
IV. Customer-Driven Value
Horizon Laser Technology’s integrated plate-and-tube cutting solution has been widely adopted across industries such as mechanical manufacturing, hardware processing, kitchen and bathroom appliances, steel structures, and advertising equipment.

It helps customers reduce equipment procurement costs, minimize workshop footprint, and enhance the versatility of sheet‑metal and pipe‑cutting capacity. Cutting precision and consistency are significantly improved, effectively lowering rework rates and manual grinding expenses. The equipment is easy to operate and simple to maintain, backed by a one‑year warranty on the entire machine and a two‑year warranty on the laser source. It is compatible with automated production line upgrades, making it a cost‑effective, high‑performance mass‑production cutting solution for small and medium‑sized processing enterprises seeking to improve quality, cut costs, and boost efficiency.
